...like an oscillating, 7 amp motor driven, extremely serrated knife.

as soon as i unboxed the thing, i think my first words were, "man this thing is substantial."

the variable speed controlled by dial and an on/off switch (rather than a trigger and a dial) took a little getting use to. the exhaust from the motor can be directed toward the blade which keeps the sawdust and debris off your line... "real nice Clark". runs smooth as glass.

cons: it's weighty.

pros: it's weight keeps it from vibrating up off the surface. it cuts like a Cadillac drives.

bottom line: it's a man's toy... sure the motor may be overkill... sure, it could come across as a little cumbersome... but beauty is in the eye of the holder.. of it. or something like that.

for real bottom line: it's a great shop saw.. it may be a little bit much for a job site. I've had it for a few weeks now. I use it in the shop for about 30-45 minutes everyday. no real complaints to mention.
