As sort of a collector of knives I own many. I have several other SOG knives as well as many other companies. Honestly, when I received this one I was a bit disappointed with the plastic handle. At the price range it is in ($75) I was just expecting a bit more. This said, it was extremely sharp right out of the box and has held it's edge well over the last couple of months. I just am having a hard time getting past the plastic handle. For less money I could have bought a much more solid folder.

I received a comment making me aware of the actual properties of the "zytel" handle which is not "plastic". I should have realized that SOG doesn't put out garbage. I still don't really like the "feel" of the knife, but that is nothing but a cosmetic thing specific to me. The zytel is evidently extemly tough, chemical resistant and very light weight. All other aspects of the knife were on par with my expectations of SOG... sharp and nice! Thanks to the gentleman who set me straight. I changed my rating from 4 star to 5 star.
