Household Essentials Fibertech Top T-Leg Ironing Board with Cotton Cover, Magic Rings (Kitchen) I found this ironing board with the Fibertech top to be generally of good quality and reasonably sturdy. The thickness of the tubular metal legs is more than adequate compared to cheaper models. I like the sturdy metal height adjustment lever. It is not flimsy and allows for 4 height adjustments. The board raises to a comfortable height for a person 6 feet tall. There is sturdy plastic between the legs at the center connection where the legs cross ensuring that the legs do not rub together when opening or closing the board and help add support. There are nice thick plastic coverings at the tips of the feet to protect your floors and to help keep the board from sliding around on hard floors. The cotton cover looks really nice but is not well padded. The padding is only about 1/8 inch thick. The cover probably won't hold up very long. You might want to consider buying a better quality cover with a thicker pad to have around when this one gives out. Possibly one with a silicone coating so that your iron slides more easily and is more resistant to hot iron burns. The Fibertech top is actually very nice with lots of holes for venting steam and heat and feels sturdy. BUT this is where the flaw in quality comes into play! The Fibertech top is actually a bit delicate. It can break if the board was to be dropped or hit against a hard object. It is kind of a thick hard brittle "plastic" type material. Not actually plastic but plastic like and can be chipped or broken "fairly" easily. A metal top would be more resilient and nearly indestructible. This is the reason I knocked off one star.My board arrived broken along one edge of the Fibertech top. The damage was not even noticeable until I opened the packaging and found broken pieces of "plastic" inside the package. It took me a while to figure out the problem because it was broken under the preinstalled cotton cover and was not immediately visible. The packaging was totally unacceptable for shipment and thus is the cause of the breakage. The extremely poor packaging resulting in damage has been reported to Amazon. I knocked off one star not because of the extremely poor packaging for a cross country shipment but because the Fibertech material is so brittle and prone to breakage. At least mine does. It comes with a clear plastic cover that attaches to the vacuum just below the top D-handle. If you look closely you'll find the mating point. You then simply clip the paw into the cover and it stores on the handle.Also, contrary to some reviews, the bare floor setting works fine. You just need to press the tab hard until you hear a click and it engages. The brush is then disabled for bare floor vacuuming.I really wanted to justify a Dyson but at 1/3 the price, this machine is all that I need. I'm extremely satisfied with the purchase.

So we got this unit and compared it to the Hoover LINX Cordless Stick Vacuum.What we like about it:1) The LED light is nice to have2) The swivel head is nice... it turns easily on hardwood.3) The head is small enough to get under the cabinet foot kick area.4) It is light and easy to carry5) We liked the built in battery.. not needing to go get one and plug it in, like the hoover.6) You can remove the brush with just a click.. to clean out the hairs.Things we did NOT like about it:1) On Carpet... forget it. It does NOT move. The Hoover glides easily (with or without the brush turned on).2) The canister to empty the trash is cumbersome. Take off the lid with two pin push. snap the dust with the built in tool. Compared to the hoover were you just click a button and drop everything out into the trash.3) It was difficult to dock.4) If you want to just use the hand unit... and get to the attachments... you need to take the full unit out... put it somewhere (it can't stand on its own... get all the attachments.) the hand unit just seems like it does not have the opening needed to pick up anything. Seems like you might as well just us the bug unit instead.5) The power of this thing compared to the Hoover... well it is weak. The whole unit is running off the power of the little handheld.Bottom line:We took back this unit and kept the hoover. Here is what we liked about the Hoover1) We miss not having the LED lights.2) We love that it stand up on its own.3) The battery charges FAST! Less than 3 hours.4) It has some serious pickup.5) you can turn the brush off and on.
