The satin-finish, stainless steel blade provides precise cutting, peeling, and slicing action. Its full tang handle features an ergonomically rounded, three-rivet design in black that's completed with a metal end cap that displays the J.A. Henckels logo. Dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended. Made in Germany.

These are great knives for this price range. Great design, very ergonomic, cut and sharpen very well. Look very "professional". We cook at home quite often and these get a lot of use. Had them for a couple of years now, did not have to professionally sharpen them yet. Just periodical steel and home sharpening tool use. They stay sharp and are sturdy for any job.

To the reviewers who complain that they are made in China - notice the "International" in the title. The Henckels has 2 separate divisions: the Twins brand is high end professional knives made in Germany and sell for over $100 PER KNIFE. The other is International brand made in China and other countries. These are cheaper knifes for "everyday" use. You cannot compare the two.
