I have been a long-time fan of Garmin products -- both automobile and aviation products. This is the first time that I have found myself at a loss as to why a Garmin product is unable to do the only function it is designed to do -- route directions on a map to get from point A to point B. Garmin service was great and replaced my original 3490. But when I received the replacement, I am again faced with the same error message "Cannot route." It would seem to me that when a product has stiff competition -- such as GPS function on IPhone -- you would make sure that your product functions flawlessly in its sole function. That function is showing me on a map how to get from point A to point B. I will try to return this product for good. My faith in Garmin has unfortunately been tainted by this product.
