Panasonic's fully loaded men's wet/dry washable electric shavers are packed with smart, innovative features that deliver a remarkably close and comfortable shave. The ES-LV61-A is a five-blade (Arc 5) shaving system, which means more foils for better coverage and reduced shaving time. Also, the hypoallergenic blades and foils cause less irritation and are best for sensitive skin. Panasonic men's electric shavers feature 30-degree-angle Nanotech blades and Lift-Tech outer foils to cut hair at its base with close, accurate precision. Along with the Multi-Flex pivoting head, the shaver glides uniformly along the contours of the face and covering the chin, jaw line and sideburns while providing maximum comfort. The world's fastest 14,000 CPM linear motor eliminates tugging and pulling that can occur with slower electric shavers. This electric razor maintains peak power right up to the end of the charge, to ensure a consistently close shave. The ES-LV61-A five-blade (Arc 5) men's electric shaving system comes equipped with a travel pouch, 10-stage LCD display, travel lock switch, and pop-up trimmer. Optional accessories include: foil (WES9171PC), blade (WES9170PC), and combo set (WES9030P). The shaving system weighs 7.1 ounces and measures 2 by 2.8 by 6.3 inches (LxWxH).
Three distinct foil patterns work in combo to capture and cut even the most difficult parts of your beard.Features reverse-tapered edges that lift and cut beards that lie flat.
A specially-shaped finishing foil captures and cuts even the most stubborn beards.
Slit structure easily catches long beards. The long beards that are difficult for other blades to catch are cut to the ideal shortness for shaving.
Panasonic's advance shaver technology improves your daily shaving routine.Head motion range: Approximately 25 degrees back and forth, approximately 20 degrees left and right. Conforms to neck, under the chin area, and jaw line.
Nano polished 30-degree-angle stainless hypoallergenic blades cut hair at its base for ultimate precision.
A rapid-fire 14,000 cycles per minute linear motor drive delivers a faster, closer shave. The fast, linear motor ensures a quick cut, eliminating pulling, tugging and irritation.
Five independently floating blades follow the contours of your face, chin and neck for a close and smooth shave.
Enjoy the convenience of a quick shave using the dry operation or use wet, with foam or gel, for a smooth shave. Five stainless-steel hypoallergenic blades and foils provide comfort and less irritation for sensitive skin types.

Men's Shavers Model OverviewThis review is from: Panasonic ES-LV61-A Men's 5-Blade (Arc 5) Wet/Dry Rechargeable Electric Shaver with Nanotech Blades, Blue (Health and Beauty)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program
(What's this?) I expected a lot from a shaver that, as of this writing, retails for five hundred bucks. I must say I didn't quite get it.
Opening the box, I was surprised how little was included...the shaver, a vinyl carrying case, and the power adapter. For the price of this shaver I would have thought a hard case or at least one made of leather would have been provided. A cleaning brush and a counter stand would also have been nice.
When evaluating this shaver I compared it to the Norelco 1250xcc/42 SensoTouch Shaver that converted me from a blade shaver. I shaved one half of my face with the Panasonic and half with the Norelco. I alternated which side I shaved with each shaver. Tests were done with one-, two-, and three-day growths.
Just like other electric shavers, Panasonic tells you it will take up to 30 days for your face to "get used to" it. Panasonic also only gives you a 30 day money back guarantee so you pretty much must decide if you like before your face gets used to it. Norelco's 45 day grace period is more reasonable. This shaver comes with a two year warranty.
While the Panasonic shaver looks top-heavy it is very balanced to hold. Like the Norelco, the Panasonic cannot be used with the charger plugged in. It only takes an hour to charge up.
I like the flexible head, the digital readout telling me how much charge remains, and the locking power switch.
Both shavers say you can use them with shaving cream, so about half the shaves were done dry and the rest after lathering up with Proraso.
On multiple-day growth it pulled noticeably when used dry, but no more so than the Norelco. When used with shaving cream the shave felt very smooth. It is noticeably louder than the Norelco.
The three heads of the Norelco cover more area than the rectangular head of the Panasonic, but this isn't really an advantage in real life. Panasonic tells you to shave with a back and forth motion, rather than the rotary motion most electric shavers tell you to use. That takes some getting used to. The head has a wide "margin" around it, making precision shaving a challenge. The wide large head is most noticeable when shaving under my nose or up to the edges of my sideburns, where I cannot get as close in either case.
Shaving dry, I thought both sides were similarly smooth. When shaving with shaving cream the Norelco side was noticeably smoother to me. The trimmer is a lot better than the one on the Norelco.
Cleaning: On pg.3 of the manual there is precaution about cleaning the shaver with hot water. Otherwise the only cleaning instructions are to wait for the "clean" indicator to come on. You use liquid soap and the "clean mode" to buzz it clean. The parts and accessories insert included with the shaver lists a cleaning stand and solution refills, similar to Braun's, but the manual makes no mention of it.
The first time I took of the top off to rinse it out, I accidentally popped out one of the foils out of the head. It took several tries with Mrs. Boilermate's small hands and greater coordination to get it back in. This is a "minus" in my opinion.
The Wife Test:
It was a wash. Mrs. Boilermate said the Panasonic side was smoother than the Norelco side about a third of the time, and equally smooth about a third of the time.
Conclusion:
As of this writing, for the cost of one Panasonic shaver you could buy two Norelco shavers and still have money left over. For that money you get fewer accessories and a shorter money-back guarantee. You also get a shaver that shaves well, but not twice as good as the Norelco. Given a choice, I would opt for the Norelco.
